NOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!

The Swine Flu is spreading across the world at an alarming rate. Schools are closing and life is very uncertain right now. OK, this is happening too close to my cruise. SCARY! If they suspend flight service or block borders it is going to be a crushing blow. Yes, I get the bigger scope of things, but I, along with two co workers (one going to Hawaii and the other to Alaska also) will be throwing the biggest pitty party you ever saw. It just dawned on me this morning that this could become a reality. NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo!!! Not my trip that I have planned for over a year now, scraped every penny, done without and looked forward to....:( Let's just hope it won't come to that. My mind is racing with all the possibilities. Too many people in one place...a ship...Alaska not wanting us Texans to bring it up there...and on and on. JUST BREATH! as my co worker Amanda always tells me...Just Breath. I will have to take it one day at a time. Maybe I will call my travel agent for a reassuring word. What if it's not a reassuring word? What if my worst fear is confirmed? Just Breath... Think I will make that call now.

More later,

DC LAST NIGHT and OUT OF THE WILD

Last night's Deadliest Catch was really a tear jerker. You know it happens out there, but when it is shown on the show it really brings it home. I think that is one of the fascinations with watching DC. These men put there life on the line every time they go fishing. I was watching the boats pitching and rolling and waves crashing over the boat last night and couldn't imagine in my wildest dream doing what they do. Mostly cause I would be throwing my guts up the whole time. I got sea sick just watching it. The fear factor is astonishing. How do they overcome it? I know that Katmai went down last Nov., but my heart goes out to those families.

Out of the wild was good entertainment last night also. OMGosh! Going all that time without food, warmth or a bath?! Maybe when I was young I would have tried an adventure like that, but now I shutter at the thought. It's fun to watch them do it though. Steph said they would have kicked her out for whinning after the first couple of days of no food...lol!!

Have a good "hump day",
Sindee

SURVIOR AND TAPS AND FRIDAY

OMGosh!! Did you watch Survivor last night?? Loved it! The look on Tyson's face was priceless. He is so arrogant and hateful and he totally deserved that blind side. The next best thing was the look on Coach's face...lol! Hopefully he will be next. What a blow heart! And the previews...now Sierra is in the driver's seat...how the tides due change.

Ghost Hunters was good also. Seems Jay and Grant have bought an Inn that is haunted. Who's up for going for a stay there?? The episode that came on at 9:00 was really good. Investigating a Lunatic Asylum...eweeeeeeeeee. Don't know that I believe, but it is a fun watch. I just love me some relaxing TV after a long stressful day at work.
TGoodnessIF!! Everybody have a relaxing week end.

Post Retreat, Cash Cab and Deadliest Catch

Our scrapbook retreat was a blast. I laughed till my sides hurt. I got a lot of pages done and felt a sense of accomplishment along with a sense of relaxation. Good to get away from all the responsibilities of life for a few days and come back refreshed. I returned to a full Sunday of obligations. A baby shower that I looked forward to attending in one town and a Cheer booster club meeting that, as president, I had to hold in another town. It all went smooth, got it all done and was home in my jammies by 7:00pm to watch Amazing Race and get to sleep fairly early...you know we sleep very little at the retreats, too much fun to be had!! I'll recover in about a week and have the spring back in my step.

It's going to be a fun packed night of entertainment!! At 5:00 our time on Discovery Channel the Deadliest Catch Captains are going to be on Cash Cab. That should be a Hoot!! We have been waiting months for this show.

Love the show anyway, but with the captains on there, should be extra good. Then tonight is Deadliest Catch!!

Tonight is suppose to be about the sinking of one of the boats (I believe) Should be sad, but very interesting and action packed.

50 Days and Off to Retreat

It's exactly 50 days till I leave for my cruise. Excitment is building. Our travel agent emailed me and said we needed to go onto the NCL site and finish our registration since the cruise is now paid for. Went on the website, did that, checked it off the list.

Probably won't blog till next week. There is not a good internet connection out in the sticks where we hold our retreats. And I'm off for some rest, relaxtion and way too much laughing...

Back to work and Deadliest Catch

Coming back to work after a 4 day week-end is tough. It is so nice to have time to do the things you need to do around the house, etc. I really don't know if I would enjoy staying home full time, but having more time would be nice.

Season 5 of Deadliest Catch began last night and we were ready. Got dinner cooked early, got our baths and jumped in our jamies. Everyone assumed the reclining position and awaited the music...On a steel horse I ride...wanted dead or alive...Love It! We kept saying, "Remember when DC (our friendly blogger from Dutch Harbor) was talking about that? and I remember that picture from the Dutch Harbor web cams. It made it all the more fun to watch. The show that came on Discovery Channel right afterwards, The Alaska Experiment, was good also. I will continue watching it. Can't wait till next Tues. night. The Captains are going to be on Cash Cab (another Discovery show) at 5:30 (our time) Tues. That ought to be good! We have been waiting for this show also.

Almost time to go home and see little Pearl and do some more work on the retreat goodie bags. Making cinnamon sugar pecans tonight for a little treat on their pillows (like chocolate in a hotel). I hear on the cruise ship that they make little animals out of your towels. Wonder how hard that is??

Easter, Pearl, Deadliest Catch and Scrapbook Retreat

Easter morning and the grand kids are looking to see what the Easter Bunny brought them. We had a great Easter. Everyone was home. The kids, grand kids, son in law and even boy friend. Miguel and Carol came over (next door neighbors/might as well be family) and the Nutts (BFF and family) were coming but received a family invitation and plans had to chance. Lunch was wonderful, if I do say so myself, and the day was spend visiting and relaxing.

After lunch we sat out in the yard under the shade tree and laughed and watched Steve and Shane (Courtney's boy friend and great guy) work on Lance's car...might be red neck...while Lance had to go to work. They are making head way but I still have the Sanford and Son theme going on in the front drive way.
If anyone knows me very well you know that I longed to have an English Bull dog. Well, welcome Pearl to the family!! Courtney has a student at the gym whose mother owns a French Bull dog and bred her with an English Bull dog. The puppies came out looking like English Bull dogs and costing a fraction of the price of a registered English Bull dog, which made it affordable to us. Steve told me to go look at her and if I wanted her he would get her for me. Well, I couldn't leave without her. She has so much personality and she is calm and loving. She is just the right fit. She goes to bed in her crate at 9:30ish and sleeps till 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning. WooHoo! I wasn't looking forward to the puppy night crying. When I went to let her out this morning she was asleep, but very glad to see me when I woke her up to go outside. She is just a little squishey butterball. Why the name Pearl you ask. The ship I am sailing on to Alaska is the Pearl and she is white like a little pearl.
She has a little spot of brindle above her tail and the daughters of the lady I got her from call it her "tramp stamp"...LOL!! It was hard to leave her and come to work today.

Deadliest Catch Season 5 begins tonight!!! The Glenns will all be glued to the TV at 8:00 central time!! It's been a long wait since Season 4 ended last year. This season is suppose to be really exciting too! Eweeee.
Thelma and Louise ride again! This week end is our spring Scrapbooking Retreat. We are so looking forward to it. It's a lot of work to get ready for, but once we are there it's the best. We have some great things for the girls this time and it should be not stop fun! The food is just to die for and the round the clock scrapping and the sitting on the porch at sunset...no alarm clocks, no life suckers, being waited on and pampered...you can see why we look forward to hosting our retreats every three months.

I'll try to keep up better in the future. Got a little side tracked between this and the last entry. Some people even ask me if something was wrong with my blog...No, just the blogger!
